My name is Shannalee and I am a Masters in Social Work student at the University of Utah. I am currently doing an internship at the Carmen B. Pingree Center for Learning. I am working on a Macro project for school that focuses on the difficulties families experience when accessing services for children with Autism. My project is a short documentary film (I am a filmmaker in my own time) that highlights the stories of families with children with Autism. I am wondering if you all would be willing to send along my project proposal to the families you are involved with to find some subjects for the film. My hope for the film is to encourage Legislators and other stake holders to increase funding for services while also providing hope to other families who are struggling with finding resources and funding to get services for their children.
