"BIG MAKS"... MORE SUPPORT THAN A 44DD BIG MAKS IS A GROUP OF "MOMS WITH AUTISTIC KIDS" WHO RALLY AROUND EACH OTHER FOR ENCOURAGEMENT AND LAUGHTER. MAKS IS NOT A SUPPORT GROUP - BUT YOU WILL FIND SUPPORT FROM OTHERS WHO 'GET IT'. AFTER ALL - WE'RE ONLY AS STRONG AS OUR HAIRSPRAY, OUR DIET COKE, AND OUR FRIENDS!

I about passed out the other day when Evan (my 5 year old) imitated me while I was exercising. I stopped what I was doing in shock since with all 3 of my boys on the spectrum it was first time I had experienced that. (Neither Evan's twin nor his older brother, Neil, have ever done that.) He got to imitate me doing my victory dance.
ReplyDeleteMy little (almost) 5 year old had the desire and the attention span to finally try to ride the tricycle he got when he was 2. I was so happy for him I almost yelled for the neighbors to come out and see :)
ReplyDeleteMine's a little older (16). For the past four years one of our goals was for him to learn the name of his lab partner. He finally did!
